  SCCC's concerts are sponsored in part by grants from the Westport Arts Council, the Fall River Cultural Council, the Swansea Cultural Council, and the Somerset Arts Council, local agencies that are supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.  

        

Supporting our Communities
 
SCCC proudly supports our local communities in two important ways.  First and foremost is our scholarship fund.  Every year, we award two scholarships to area students who are pursuing training or careers in the field of music.  Funding for these awards, which includes our Isabel White Memorial Scholarship, comes from dues and donations.

In addition, we have sung at community events including the New Boston Village Christmas Walk in Fall River, the Tree Lighting Ceremony at Westport Rivers Vineyard & Winery, and Fall River’s Celebration of Multi-Cultural Diversity.  We have also performed Handel’s Messiah and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra.
