Rehearsals
SCCC's concerts are sponsored in part by grants from the Westport Arts Council, the Fall River Cultural Council, the Swansea Cultural Council, and the Somerset Arts Council, local agencies that are supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

SCCC is composed of members from all walks of life and includes all ages, even high school seniors and college
students. We are based in
Fall River though members come from numerous
communities, such as Dartmouth, Dighton, Fairhaven, Little Compton,
New Bedford, Rehoboth, Somerset, Swansea, Tiverton, and Westport.
New members are welcome each January and September. No Auditions!If you like to sing we encourage you to join us!
The only member requirements are ability to match pitch and blend in with other choristers and attendance at practices. As with all choral groups, members pay modest dues and purchase music. We rehearse every Wednesday evening from 7:30 to 9:30 at United Parish Church at 745 Wilson Road in Fall River, MA. Did you know? According to Patricia Preston-Roberts, a board-certified music therapist in New York City who uses song to treat both psychological and physiological conditions, studies have linked singing with a lower heart rate, decreased blood pressure, and reduced stress.

As a member of SCCC,
you’ll enjoy opportunities for socializing as well as singing with a
congenial group of music-lovers. There are often opportunities for solos and the music encompasses a broad expanse of styles from classical to popular.
