Our Scholarship Program
Through donations and dues the SCCC has
established a scholarship fund. Each Spring SCCC awards two scholarships in the amount
of $250.00 to two deserving students pursuing careers in the
field of music (instrumental and vocal, performing, education, production and
theatre) in the South Coast area. One of the scholarships is the Isabel White
Memorial Scholarship.
Applicant
Criteria
Applicants for the
scholarship must:
1.
Be a resident of the greater Fall River area to include Assonet, Dighton,
Fall River, Fairhaven, Rehoboth, Swansea, Somerset, Taunton, New Bedford,
Dartmouth, Seekonk and Westport, Massachusetts and Bristol, RI.
2.
Be entering a degree program in music (including education, performing,
production and theatre) at an accredited college or university and provide proof
of acceptance.
3.
Be a graduating high school senior.
4.
Complete the attached scholarship application.
5.
Complete an essay of at least 500 words describing why you decided to
pursue the field of music.
6.
Complete and return the
application
to: SCCC Scholarship Committee, South Coast Community Chorale, 192 Lincoln
Avenue, Fall River, MA 02720 postmarked by April 15.
